These are the two starter relays that I had on my Stag:
The right one is Lucas (5 Amps to engage, good to switch some 300 Amps), as used on Mini's and some other classics to drive the starter motor directly. I installed the Lucas first and it worked very well for a number of years until I got nothing-nothing. Found out that the Lucas switch itself was jamming when heated-up by the engine heat. These are still available in Malaysia, manufactured in India I believe.
Then I found the smaller type (left on the pic) sold as universal starter relay, made in Japan. As the big Lucas was an overkill anyway, I replaced it with the smaller one which, I guess, is good for some 100+ Amps (and it is not affected by the AC unloader relay as it pulls about 1.5 Amps when energised).
