No. If your Bosch doesn't have a mating connector for it, then just tape it
back (to be certain it can't short to anything) and leave it off.

In both cases, it is a "sense" wire that allows the voltage regulator inside
the alternator to more accurately sense actual battery voltage, without
being fooled by voltage drop through the high current output path. But not
all of them have provisions for it.
